We recently got an enquiry from a stunning campsite in the Brecon Beacons. They approached us looking for specific timber to allow them to continue the build of a brand new timber cabin.
The enquiry
The Ynysfaen campsite needed a specific item and were struggling to find it anywhere within the UK. The sought after item was the 44mm double tongue and groove timber, which is available from MST in various lengths. After extensive searching MST was the only stockist the customer could find to supply the lengths needed for the build.
The challenge
The volume of domestic camping and caravanning trips increased by 71% in 2021, reaching an estimated 16.4m. This trend has continued throughout 2022, as the cost-of-living crisis has led to a reduction in overseas holidays.
The Ynysfaen campsite is located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park and has gone from strength to strength in the last couple of years. This growth has led to the need for additional accommodation. The customer contacted MST as they are looking to increase their glamping options, adding a brand new cabin to their accommodation offering.
The cabin needed a specific size and length of timber, and the customer approached MST looking specifically for 44mm double tongue and groove timber as they couldn’t find another supplier anywhere in the UK.
The result
